Krillion daily dive vs. unlimited practice

Updated

There are several ways to play Krillion, and they suit different moods. Here is what each one is for.

The daily dive

This is the heart of Krillion. Every player in the world gets the same seven prompts, you get 25 seconds for each, and you have one scored attempt per day. Because everyone answers the same prompts, rarity is measured against the whole player base, which is what makes a deep-cut answer feel special.

The daily dive is at krillion.io. If you get stuck, our Krillion hints today page gives gentle nudges for each prompt without spoiling answers, and the archive keeps every past day.

Themed packs

The official game also offers themed packs built around one subject. At the time of writing they include Words & Language and At the Movies, each with its own artwork and dozens of chapters, and they are free while in beta. They are a good way to test a topic you know well, or to find out which categories you are weakest in.

The official Unlimited mode

krillion.io also has its own Unlimited mode with extra seven-prompt dives. When we tried it, each device got one free run, and further runs needed a one-off unlock (about $5). It plays exactly like the daily dive, with its own prompts.

Krillion Unlimited on this site (free practice)

Once your daily attempt is used up, the itch doesn’t go away. That is what Krillion Unlimited on this site is for: seven random prompts, 25 seconds each, as many dives as you like, free. Prompts cover general knowledge, geography, movies and sports; browse them all on the practice prompts page.

Our prompts and rarity tiers are written by us, so practice scores won’t match the official game. After every prompt we show a few deep answers you could have given, which is the real point: each dive teaches you something.

Using practice to improve your daily score

Unlimited practice helps in two ways. First, it trains the habit of skipping your first thought, which is the hardest part of the game. Second, every prompt page shows the full answer list from the deepest cuts to the most common picks, so you build up a store of rare answers in categories that come up again and again. Our four-week practice plan turns that into a routine.
